Summer Missions Trip: We are thankful for the support of Wayside members for missions! As we prepare for this summer's missions trip to help international students settle into their apartments in Orlando, we are asking for the following:

•  Donations of single/twin beds/mattresses, boxes of kitchen utensils, and small study desks and chairs.

•  Support as a group to help with expenses. It will cost about $300 for each person, and we have ten people going. If you would like to support us, just put a check in the offering with ”Mission Trip” in the "for" line or designate this in your chosen giving method.


We’ve planned our annual training dinner for volunteers and childcare workers on Wednesday, July 23 from 6-8 PM. We encourage all volunteers, from nursery workers to Bible study teachers, as well as our paid childcare workers, to attend. Dinner will be provided, and the training will include a review of the updated Protection Policy as well as practical reminders for serving in ministry settings and age-specific training for our youth volunteers. Youth ages 15 and older are welcome to serve in the nursery alongside an adult. RSVP to Brittany Patterson or the church office by July 13 so we can plan accordingly for food. Please note: Childcare will not be available for this dinner.

We’ll have Apprenticeship Day from 9:30am-1pm on Saturday, August 2 here at the church for children

and youth. This is an annual event for our church where the adults of Wayside intentionally teach valuable life skills. We will be offering two blocks of classes, along with the special addition of youth in singing and a devotional exhortation from Pastor Chuck at the end. All of Wayside's church family is welcome to participate in this day! After our classes and service conclude, we will gather for a sack lunch together in the fellowship hall. To help this event run smoothly, parents are required to assist during one class if their child is participating in a class that day. Our entire congregation is invited to attend the singing and exhortation at 11:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Please contact Brittany Patterson to sign up for classes.

Join us for the monthly Prayer Meeting on Wednesday, August 6 at 6pm.  At 6:30 we’ll have our Bible studies for all ages (studying Nehemiah 3-4 in all groups).

Pastor Brian will teach a Wayside 101 Class August 15 and 16 at the church. If you are interested in joining Wayside, or in just learning more about what we believe, please come! The class will begin with supper and a session Friday night (6-8:30pm), and the Saturday session will be from 9-11:30am. Childcare is available for younger children. Please contact Ken Harmon or the church office to sign yourself and/or your family up for the class and let him know if you will need childcare (and the names and ages of your children).

Wayside Women, join us Thursday, August 21 at 6:30pm for a dinner, movie & craft night! Please bring a summer dish to share, and your latest craft project, if you have one. RSVP to Jodi Hiser.

Preparations continue for Wayside's annual Harvest Festival scheduled for Saturday, September 20 from 11am-2pm. We hope you are planning to join us for this special church-wide event! Sign-up lists for volunteers and contributions to the craft and kitchen booths are located on the credenza in the back hallway behind the sanctuary. Volunteer opportunities exist in the following areas:
