Please join us for a Reformation Day Potluck on October 31 at 6pm Please bring a dish or two to share. Feel free to come dressed as a Reformation or Bible character, if you’d like to! We are looking forward to this time of fellowship together.
The monthly Prayer Meeting is Wednesday, November 5 at 6pm. At 6:30 we’ll have our Bible studies for all ages (discussing Lesson Ten in the women’s book, and Nehemiah 11-12 in the men’s book).
The women of Wayside will meet for a women’s dinner out at 6:30pm on November 13 at the Cheesecake Factory (2084 Hamilton Place Blvd., Chattanooga, 37421). If you’d like us to save you a seat at our table, please RSVP to Jodi Hiser.
It’s time for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes! This is an opportunity to help children in need around the world by preparing shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies (no food/ candy/gum, please!). Boxes have been delayed this year, but the basic information you need is in the copy/choir room, and the boxes will be there when they arrive. The boxes are due November 17. If you are interested in transporting the filled boxes to the collection point (The Point at Signal or Red Bank Baptist Church) the week of November 17, please contact Mary Pat in the church office.
During this season of transition and many dealing with personal challenges and trials, the Elders would like to call for a day of fasting and prayer on Thursday, November 20, to seek the Lord and His strength. We will provide a fasting guide beforehand and conclude that day with an abbreviated worship service at 7pm. Please be in prayer for our church family as we strive to grow in greater love and knowledge of our Savior!
Signal Mountain Social Services (SMSS) has kicked off the 2025 mountain-wide Christmas Basket campaign which will provide gift baskets to over 65 needy mountain families on Saturday, December 13. The baskets include children’s gifts, gift cards, vouchers, home supplies, non-perishable food, and toiletries. Wayside’s assigned contribution will be 130 bars of soap (individually wrapped) and 65 jars of peanut butter. The collection will run from now until December 11th and a table will be set up outside the kitchen downstairs to store Wayside’s donated soap and peanut butter until delivery in December. Additional information regarding ways Wayside families can assist in the deliveries themselves will be available in coming weeks. For questions or information, please contact Marci Cooper.
