Wayside Christian Preschool has been a ministry of Wayside to the Signal Mountain community for twenty years. We offer small classes for 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds. WCP is truly a school for little children, and not a day-care center. We meet from 9 AM to noon, Tuesday through Thursday. We spend a lot of time just playing and having fun, but we also teach the children Bible songs and lessons. Most learn the alphabet before graduating from the 4-year-old class. |
Our teachers are Lisa Garbee and Carla Merrell, who have many years of experience in Christian Education. Our Director is Eve Simpson, who has been leading WCP for five years. Eve also helps with the teaching. Our costs are similar to all the other church-centered preschools on Signal Mountain.

Lisa Garbee teaches the four-year-old class, and here she is talking with some of the students. This picture was taken near Thanksgiving, and the kids are dressed up like Indians, and learning about the good things the Indians did for the Pilgrims.
