Welcome to Wayside's 35th Annual World Missions Conference. Here on this web page you will find some photos of our conference, and the sermons preached. We have tried several different ways of doing our conference. Presently we are having meetings three Sundays in a row, usually in the month of April. Each Sunday we invite one missionary family to be with us. They teach Sunday School, they give testimonies in the morning worship service, and on Sunday evening they usually show slides or give Power Point presentations. The Sunday morning missionary sermon is usually preached by Pastor St. John. Wayside is a small church, but by God's grace we have been able to give generously to missions, usually in the neighborhood of $60,000 per year. Our missions giving is separate from the church budget. During our missions conference we challenge our members to make a "Faith Promise" to God about missionary support. Whatever the Lord provides, that is what we give. The Saturday night before the conference we have a kick-off pot-luck supper. Each Sunday evening we have a family supper at the church at 6 PM, before hearing our missionaries speak.

Our missionary guest for April 11 was Mr. Jack Deal, who heads up the Navigator outreach programs at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Here he is in a couple of photographs....
