INTRO: God is the great Giver. He has given us the world, life, every good thing; and most of all His Son. But what about our giving to God? Here is the story of the Wise Men, who brought gifts to Jesus.

I. They brought OBVIOUS GIFTS.
A. Gold
B. Frankincense
C. Myrrh
D. SUMMARY: They gave of their wealth, their money, to
Jesus. So should we.

II. They brought NOT SO OBVIOUS GIFTS.
A. Their minds. Intense study of the scriptures and the stars.
B. Their reputations. Imagine the reaction in Babylon to
their setting out.
C. Their comfort and safety. They traveled 600 miles of
rugged territory.
D. Their time and families. Months to go, and months to return.
E. Their hearts, and worship.

CONCLUSION: Jesus said, "It is better to give than to receive." We have received so much from God. How are we doing at our giving? May we be as wise as the Magi!
